Cai slowly got to his feet. "I don't remember ever telling you my last name," he said.

"What a shame." Shade said, pushing Cai down again.

Cai didn't resist, knowing it was futile to think he was stronger than a vampire."Just go ahead and kill me now. I don't really care," he said.

"You thought I was going to kill you?" Shade laughed. "What a shame. It's tempting too. Maybe another time, y'know, when you're a little more challenging?" And with that, Shade disappeared into black smoke.

Cai shook his head as Shade disappeared. He hadn't expected to be killed anyway.
