A Starlit Night

It had turned midnight and the stars were shineing brightly by the time Lucy and Cai got to the lake and Lucy stopped and looked around as she waited for Cai to catch up.

Cai was right behind her. "Okay, you see her anywhere?" Cai asked, looking around.

"No, but let's look around, this is a big Lake and there's a small island in the center so this could take us hours." Lucy said as she rolled down to the shoreline and noticed one of the boats for people to use to get to the island in the center of the lake was missing, "Hey Cai I think I know where she might have gone." Lucy said.

Neyomi was standing at the end off the long dock that extended from the island in the center of the lake, she was crying as she stared up at the starlit sky, she was too far away to be seen from the far off lake shore.

Cai followed Lucy and nodded. "I think you're right," Cai said.

"Ok, lets go check the island then... A little help please?" Lucy said.

OOC: Have Cai paddle out 2/3 of the way to the island and no further, I haz an idea.

Cai took her out of the wheelchair and placed her on a bench, then folded up the chair and placed it in the boat. He pushed the boat off into the water and hopped inside. He paddled about two thirds into the lake before he stopped to rest a minute.

Neyomi had been looking up at the stars crying when she blushed (No not because Cai is there) and fainted and fell into the deep fridgid waters at the end of the dock, all of this could be seen from the boat.

"NEYOMI!" Cai yelled, seeing her fall from the dock. Quickly, he dove into the water and swam out after her.

"Cai!" Lucy yelled, startled by Cai suddenly jumping into the water.

Neyomi choked on water as she sunk but didn't wake up.

Cai swum down into the water, casting beams of light out to try and spot Neyomi.

Lucy picked up the paddle and started to paddle the rest of the way to the island.

Finally, Cai saw Neyomi and swam towards her. When he reached her, he grabbed her by the arm and swam up to the surface of the water to get a look at how far he was from the shore.

Neyomi and Cai wern't to far from the shore of the island, Neyomi just floated there limply, unconcious and unbreathing, a glazed look in her eyes.

Seeing where they were, Cai swam in the direction of the shore, towing Neyomi along behind him. When he reached land, he dragged Neyomi and himself onto the beach. He was exhausted, and the fact that the water was cold didn't help matters.

Neyomi layed on the beach, she needed CPR before she choked to death, and Lucy as well as not knowing how to administer it was too far away to reach them before Neyomi choked to death.

Cai realized that Neyomi wasn't breathing. Remembering from when he had been trained as a junior life-guard, he started to give her CPR.

Most of the water came up but the rest got caught in her lungs, too much water for her to breath.

"Come on," Cai muttered, continuing what he was doing

Neyomi just layed there like a rag doll, too much water was caught in her throat for her to breath and it was apparent that Chest depressions alone wern't going to work, and even if they did she was going to need help to start breathing again.

Cai soon realized that she needed mouth-to-mouth. So, like any good lifeguard would do, he gave it to her.

Neyomi's eyes opened and she coughed up the rest of the water, then looked up at Cai blushing so hard she was red, "Y-you saved me..." She said.

OOC: Just so you know, Neyomi is sick, that's why she fainted and fell into the lake.

Cai was a little red himself. "well, i wasn't going to let you drown, was i?" he said.

"Th-thank you." Neyomi said weakly, she shivering was shivering badly and soon broke out in a cold sweat, "C-Cai..."

"Yeah?" Cai said, starting to shiver himself.

"I.. I don't feel so good..." She said, as she turned to her side and vomited.
