Waiting for Shade to come

Akira sat on a tree stump, hoping for Shade to come. He is usually found here. She wanted to ask him something important.

Shade appeared in front of his house. Moonlight appearing right after him. He walked up the front steps and turned to the cat. "I told you NOT to bite the woman behind the desk!" He scolded. "You're lucky we got away in time. They would've called animal control!" Moonlight meowed in protest.

Akira heard Shade's voice and stood up, walking over to him from behind the bushes. "Hi Shade!" She said with a smile, ignoring what he had just said.

Shade looked in the direction of Akira and waved. "Hey!" He called back.

She waited untill she was standing beside him to ask. "Um... can I ask you something?" She asked shyly, looking up at him.

"Yes you can." Shade said. "But the real question is, do I wantr to hear it?" He smiled as if he were joking.

Akira laughed, then looked at her feet. "I was maybe wondering if you would like to go out on a date?" She asked, trying to be bold as she looked back up at him.

"Sure." Shade said. "How about the park. At 7:00?"

"Okay!" She said happily.

"Alright." Shade said, smiling. "See you then."

Akira nodded and smiled. "See you!" She said as she quickly ran off to go get ready.

Shade walked into his house to get ready. Moonlight walked in slowly after him.
