Another Year... (Akira and Me only)

Shade sat in his room alone. Today was his 18th birthday, and there were three presents around him. One from Sora, one from Hikari, and one from his cat. He hadent open them yet.

A nock sounded at Shade's front door of his house.

Shade walked down stairs and opened the door. He smiled a bit.

Akira jumped at him into a hug. "Happy birthday." She said happily.

Shade hugged her back. "Hey, thank you."

Akria pulled away from the hug, and smiled. "So, how old are you now?" She asked.

"18." Shade replied.

"Woooow~ You're getting pretty old~" Akira teased jokingly with a little laugh.

"Pshh." Shade laughed. "I'll be in a nursing home in no time."

Akira laughed. "So, you have any plans for today?" She asked.

"No, not really, but there are some presents that need to be opened upstairs if ya kno what I mean owo." Shade said

"No plans for your birthday? Hmm.. Oh, right. I brought you a gift also." She said, pulling a blue and silver coloured box that had a matching bow on it from her pocket.

"Hm?" Shade said. "For me?"

Akira nodded. "Of course." She said.

Shade took the item and opened it.

Inside it, there was a black and white frame that looked handmade. Inside the frame was a picture of Shade and Akira from a time when they were on a date, surrounded by light blue tissue paper.

Shade smiled. "How thoughtful." He said when he saw the picture. "Thank you." He gave her a kiss.

Akira smiled back. "You're welcome." She said.
