Alex eyed the girl, frowning slightly. What was she hiding? Oh well, it wasn't any of his business, he reminded himself. He could see she didn't want to talk about it, and for a moment he thought about dismissing the topic somehow. But he didn't as curiosity got the best of him.

Alex's eyes widened in surprise. "Um, uh, thank you." He replied, studdering slightly. He had decided to take that as a compliment. "Are you saying I look like... Your brother?" He guessed.

Nina listened to the conversation intently, actually knowing how Rita felt. "If you guys actually listened, her nightmare wasn't a dream, her nightmare was seeing her brother die." Nina's voice as she spoke grew lower and colder. Taking a deep breath to keep herself calm, she turned her head away from them. "Such idiots..." she muttered softly.

Shade almost passed out when Nina spoke. He knew the feeling all too well. He made a small sound and backed away. His mind was clouded with memories. He used to have a very large family, but now it was narrowed down to two. With two he killed with his own two hands. Silently, Shade started to walk away before he did something he would regret.

Alex crinkled his nose, upset about Nina's comment. No matter, he was use to it. Unlike the others, he hadn't seen his family die, even if he did, he couldn't remember it. Nina and Paisley were his only family now. He vaguely saw Shade walk away, and he raised an eyebrow. Turning back to Rita, he smiled halfheartedly. "A lot of us have lost someone close..." He explained, pulling his fingers through his greenish blue hair that resembled his mothers so closely.

"Uh..." Alex uttered in surprise. For a moment he just stood there before crouching down next to her. He was careful not to touch her, to admit it, he was a little afraid. "Um.. Well... Yeah, I don't understand. But it's okay! At least, um..." God, he was horrible at this. "Yeah, I've got nothing. I'd cry too if I were you." He said gently, shrugging slightly. Way to go Alex, you're so helpful.

Nina could only facepalm at Alex's attempt to try to sooth Rita's emotions. "Alex, just shut up. You aren't helping." She eyed Shade for a quick second before getting closer to Rita. "I know exactly how you feel. Except my brother was basically burned alive..." her voice trailed off as the memories flooded back to her. Hikari's face immediately popped into her head causing her anger to flare up inside of her. "And she will pay..." She muttered almost inaudibly.

Taken aback by the sudden tackle-hug, Nina took a few steps backwards to stabilize her balance. She didn't necessarily hug Rita back, but mainly because she barely knew the pink-haired girl. "Er... for what?" She asked uncertainly.
