~~Thinking~~

Akira sat beside the lake, thinking. She knew what she had sensed was evil before, and that it would result in battle. She was helpless without Shade. Akira wondered if she would have time to train before they started attacking. She barely knew anything about it, only that Shade and Scar have something to do with it. She sighed.

Cai was walking around the lake, when he saw Akira."Hey Akira!" he called as he got closer.

"Oh hey Cai." Akira said back dully, looking at him then back at the lake.

"What's wrong?" Cai asked, sitting down next to Akira.

"Something evil has come.." She said slowly, "Shade and his old friend, Scar, have something to do with it.".

"Shade...What happened to him? He was so nice when I met him." Cai said, remembering the airport conversation.

"His friend from his past has changed him.." Akira said as her voice faded out, remembering all the times she had spent with him. She missed Shade.

"We need to do something about this" Cai said, "And, is this Scar a vampire too?" Cai was angered that this Scar guy could change someone so quickly.

Akira nodded. "We need to get people with us to fight back when they attack." She suggested.

"Yes. We can't let them just destroy us" Cai was starting to glow slightly. He was going into his caster form.

"But we need to be careful. We don't know who is also with them, or how strong they are. I don't know how to fight either.." Akira said, looking at Cai. He was very eager.

"I think I might be able to help you with that" Cai said. A Vampire that can't fight? Well, there must be a first time for anything.

Akira looked at him. "Okay." She said.

Cai laid on his back. "Unfortunetly, you're not a caster, but I think your fangs will be sufficeint weapons..." Suddenly, he sat bolt up-right. He shrugged his weird feeling off.

Under the water, Ashley sighed in relief. She hadn't been spotted... yet.

Akira felt her fangs. She had never thought to use them. "How about I get a weapon like a dagger or something?" She suggested, ignoring his weird action.

"Yeah, You'll need something like that, but it's always best to have something else. If you drop your weapons in a fight, you're dead." Cai said," I use a sword, but I don't think that fits you."

"Could my telepathic powers help in any way?" She asked, "Maybe could we start planning and training for this today?".

"Sure-" Cai said, stopping short. He heard something, like a splash.

Ashley cursed under her breath. Stupid fish! She knew she'd been caught. She came out of the water, but she was completely dry. "Sorry" she said.

Akira looked at Ashley and blinked.

"Who are you?" Cai said. He began to glow again.

Ashley put her hands up,"whoa, I'm sorry. My name's Ashley, I'm a water caster. Did i hear you guys taking about a war?"

"Yeah-" Akira got cut off by her cellphone ring. She answered it. "Hello?" She said followed by a few meows from the other end. "Lunar? How'd you even-" She said recognizing her cat's meows but then got cut off by a hiss. She hung up her cellphone. "Sorry, Lunar.. er, needs me." She said. "Talk to you later, and Cai, tell her about the battle and everything." Akira said as she ran off.

"Meet me in Windtown later!" Cai called after her, then he turned to Ashley and explained the situation.
